Vidya Balan returns to the romantic comedy genre with Do Aur Do Pyaar. The movie also stars Pratik Gandhi, Ileana D’Cruz and Sendhil Ramamurthy in pivotal roles.
Vidya Balan is all set to appear on the big screen this summer along with Pratik Gandhi, Ileana D’Cruz and Sendhil Ramamurthy in Shirsha Guha Thakurta’s Do Aur Do Pyaar.
“Married people don’t have sex,” says Pratik’s character to Ileana’s character but he shares a sizzling chemistry with Vidya’s character.
Teasing infidelity in a marriage, and treating it with humour, the teaser of Do Aur Do Pyaar is a fun watch full of funny one liners, situational comedy, and a tangled web of relationships.
Do Aur Do Pyar boasts of a fresh pairing of actors. This is the first time Vidya Balan and Pratik Gandhi have united for a film. It also marks Vidya’s return to the romantic comedy genre. This is the second time Ileana will be seen on the big screen after embracing motherhood in August last year. She was last seen in Tera Kya Hoga Lovely, which hit screens in March this year.
Pratik, who is shooting for Hansal Mehta’s Gandhi, recently opened up on how he signed Do Aur Do Pyaar because he wanted to do something “light”. Talking to The Times Of India, he had said, “I was delighted to be offered my first romantic script and that too opposite Vidya, Sendhil and Ileana, all amazing actors. After Scam 1992, I was inundated with dramas and biopics, so I was looking to do something light, fun, and different.”
The film is all set to release in theatres on April 19, 2024.
