Tamil film Mission: Chapter 1 faced delays in its OTT release despite a successful theatrical run starting January 15. Typically, Tamil movies hit OTT platforms within four weeks, but Mission: Chapter 1 took longer. Finally, it’s available on Amazon Prime Video with English subtitles since March 15, eight weeks after its theatrical release. For international audiences, Simply South also offers the movie since the same date.

Directed by AL Vijay, Mission: Chapter 1 stars Arun Vijay, Amy Jackson, Nimisha Sajayan, and others. Produced by Subaskaran Allirajah and others under various banners, it’s a comeback for Amy Jackson after five years. The movie’s music is by GV Prakash Kumar, with cinematography by Sandeep K Vijay and editing by Anthony. Arun Vijay expressed his long-standing desire to work with director AL Vijay. The plot revolves around a man wrongly imprisoned who escapes to save his daughter in need of urgent surgery, pursued by the prison’s jailer.
